Bid Writing Service (BWS) is a specialist tender writing company based in the North-West, helping businesses prepare, review, and manage bids.

The Project Brief

BWS approached Mosaic with a clear goal in mind. Their current website wasn’t delivering the results it once offered and they had experienced a considerable drop-off in online visibility.

Identifying the decline before it was too late, they contacted us with the aim to breathe a new life into their website and to steady the ship.

For this project, we set out to strengthen their online presence and increase leads through a comprehensive SEO campaign and a website design overhaul.

The Design Phase

The initial data provided by the client made it very clear that a full website overhaul was required. Their brand had adapted beyond their website, leaving a disconnect between identity and design.

“The old website was very monochrome and blocky. We looked to move away from that and adopt the colourful and rounded brand that can be seen in the logo.”

We found that over 80% of visitors left the site before reaching the submission form because they were having trouble navigating to it.

To address this, we placed an obvious and visible submission form at the top of the site, making it accessible immediately upon page load.

The rest of the site was redesigned to reflect the new brand direction and boost engagement, maximising lead generation.

The Development Phase

We built a bespoke WordPress site using the agreed final design along with custom functionality required for easy client onboarding.

Many of the interactive elements on the previous website had stopped working. Not only was the design outdated, but the website had begun to fall into disrepair. This caused many issues and, most critically, caused the loss of many potential leads.

When we develop sites, we keep future proofing in mind to make sure clients don’t encounter issues like these, making our sites last for years to come. This project was no different.

The Marketing Strategy

Our goal was to launch an AdWords campaign to supplement our SEO strategy, boosting the reach of the account to win high-value clients quickly.

The SEO Strategy

Our SEO strategy focused on regaining lost rankings, securing new positions, and building long-term resilience against fluctuations.

Through FAQs and blogs, we produced quality content that encouraged engagement and boosted website visibility.

From a content review, we also identified that the site’s copy had fallen out of sync with the brand. We set out to rewrite the content, making it engaging, accurate, and factual.

The Results

It wasn’t long before Bid Writing Services saw a hike in search engine rankings. In the first month after the launch of the new site, they saw a 38% increase in sessions and a 95% increase in engagement rate.
