Festive events to look out for in Warrington & Northwich

Easter, the excuse to eat as much chocolate as we can, is here and we’ve already started stockpil...

So the 2019 John Lewis Christmas advert has been released which means we are officially allowed to get excited for Christmas, right? We at Mosaic have put together a list of upcoming events in Warrington and Northwich which we are planning to attend ourselves so that you don’t miss anything important…

Warrington Events

Christmas Street Market, Warrington town-centre

For two days only, a Christmas market will be held in the town centre. The market will be open from 10am to 6pm on Saturday 7th December, and 11am to 4pm on Sunday 8th December. 60 stalls will be spread out over Time Square, Buttermarket Street and Market Gate. You’ll be able to find unique gifts and arts and crafts, as well as a range of festive food and drink like mince pies, mulled wine and cider. To add to the family fun, there will be carol singers, live music and street performers.

The Botanist Warrington launch, Time Square, Unit 1 6

We at Mosaic are super excited to be going to The Botanist’s first opening in Warrington! On Monday 2nd December, their Time Square venue will be their 19th restaurant and will seat up to 170 diners over two floors and 100 people at the bar. The restaurant will serve bottomless brunch, deli lunches, Sunday roasts, mains, signature cocktails and over 60 ales.

Warrington Maker’s Market

You will also get the chance to bag some unique Christmas gifts at this monthly pop-up event that showcases artists, musicians, designers and bakers. There will be 60 stalls offering artisan food and drink, local produce, arts and crafts and vintage goodies. Located in Palmyra Square, the next date will be Sunday 8th December.

Real5 Gala

The Real5 networking team is holding a charity gala dinner at 7pm on Friday 22nd November at the Park Royal Hotel. Entertainment for the night will feature X-Factor contestant Kiera Weathers, comedy by Martin Gold, magic shows and the Corollas band and DJ.

Northwich events

Northwich Christmas Extravaganza

Head down for a full day of Christmas fun on Saturday 23rd November from 12.30pm to 6.30pm. There will be activities for the whole family with donkey rides, fairground rides, Santa’s Grotto, stilt walkers, caricaturists, birds of prey and a giant snow globe. Visit the Craft Village for face painting, glitter tattoos, gingerbread decorating and balloon modelling.

For festive treats, head to the Christmas Markets on Witton Street.

This year will be extra special, with Northwich having its first ice rink ever! It will open on Friday 22nd, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th.

St Luke’s Hospice Light Up a Life

Christmas can be a difficult time if you’ve lost a loved one. We’ll be attending the service held by St Luke’s Cheshire hospice on Sunday 1st December, and remembering those we have loved and lost. A Tree of Light will be lit, with each light shining for a special someone. Upon arrival, you will be given a candle to light, and there will be carols, readings and some quiet time to reflect.

St Luke’s Hospice Light Up a Life

Northwich Artisan Market – Xmas special

The Northwich Artisan Market will be back in December, but with a special Christmas edition. From 12pm to 5pm on Sunday 8th December, there will be stalls offering food and drink, Christmas decorations, arts and crafts and local produce.
